Writing
Seeing writing as an art, its primary aim is to communicate something. Excellent writing goes beyond mere communication; it seeks to create a change in the reader. This change could be understanding an important idea, being convinced to buy a product or service, or awakening something within the reader.
Science
Science can be defined as the study of nature using specific methods. The main motivation of every scientific work should be the search for truth.
Technology
I define technology as the application of knowledge to create tools. Technology itself is never the goal. Technology helps us to reach a specific goal.
Storytelling
There is a glue that connects Writing, Science and Technology. This glue is the Creativity.
There are infinite ways to express creativity, and every human has at least one talent for being creative in some form. The main indicator of this talent is that creative work doesn’t drain energy; on the contrary, it seems to generate energy.
For me, storytelling is one of the most fascinating things that exists. Everyone has a story to tell. If there is one characteristic that defines humans, it would be: “We are storytellers.” I say storytelling, not just communication, because communication is simply about giving and receiving messages. Storytelling ensures that the message is truly received.
Albert Einstein
“Creativity is seeing what other see and thinking what no one else ever thought.”
Leonardo Da Vinci
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
Steve Jobs
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.”
Creativity
Here you find some famous quotes about creativity. It is impossible not to connect art with creativity. However, creativity is also crucial in science and in technology.
Edward de Bono
“There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”
Pablo Picaso
“Art is the elimination of the unnecessary.”
Oscar Wilde
“No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artists.”
Martin Luther King Jr.
“Creativity is the power to transcend the paradox and the seemingly impossible. It is the ability to take the reality of a situation and to imagine a new reality, to take the limits of the present and to create a new future.”
Rudyard Kipling
“Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.”
Toni Cade Bambara
“The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.”
Mark Twain
“The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.”
